Coming to terms...

Assuming life to be a bed of roses,
I stepped on its road really fast.
But reality threw me crashing down
The smooth ride, for long, didn’t last!

All the dreams that I had dreamt,
Seem far from becoming real now.
The beautiful sand castles built by me,
Before the tides, they had to bow.

But the journey of life is such,
There are no red lights on the way.
I have to keep moving, accepting the fact,
That people come, but may not stay.

I take a look at the bed again,
The roses are still there all right.
Looking closer I find all my answers,
Earlier, the thorns had escaped my sight…
